Samba Elégua
While walking and enjoying Nuit Blanche in Toronto, I stumble upon the percussion group Samba Elégua. I had my camera bag with me, so I shot some footage and captured my experience.
What I found interesting about this and why I loved this edit is how the crowd and the band naturally came together as a “stage” and I was able to figure out my documentarian approach on the fly.
That night I spoke to Henry who is one of the drummers and the Gig Booking Manager of the group, and we arrange for me to edit and deliver this piece. Henry was happy with the edit and you can see more of the group at Samba Elegua
